KATHUA:- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma- IPS* recovered a total 38 Pouches weighing approx. 10 litres of Illicit liquor (Desi) and one lady got arrested at Korepunnu (PS Rajbagh) area.
On 13/01/2026 police team of PS Rajbagh recieved an information through the reliable sources that one lady was on her way from Salalpur to Ward Kore Punnu, carrying a plastic bag containing illegal desi liquor for the purpose of sale.
On receipt of the said information, Police team led by SHO PS Rajbagh Insp. Ajay Chib assisted by IC BPP Korepunnu under the close supervision of *SP Ops Kathua Sh. Mukund Tibrewal IPS* & SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch immediately reached the spot and intercepted the said lady. During questioning, the lady disclosed her name as *Twinkle W/O Subash @ Ravi, Age 27 years, R/O Ghatti, A/P Salalpur, Tehsil Marheen, District Kathua.*
On checking the plastic bag carried by her, *38 pouches of illegal desi liquor (Weighing approx. 10 Litres)* were recovered. The recovered liquor was seized on the spot as per law. Consequently, *FIR No. 09/2026 U/S 48(a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh* against the said lady and further investigation is underway.
