Acharya Shri Chander College of Nursing Education organized Awareness HIV/AIDS 

JAMMU : Acharya Shri Chander College of Nursing Education organized Awareness HIV/AIDS with the theme “Take the Right Path: my health, my pride” the series of impactful events aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and to need eliminate stigma. The event was held under the leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. Indra Moza, the active from students, faculty, and esteemed guests.

Dr. Indra Moza extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Monika Wali, Medical Officer and Incharge of IEC J&K AIDS Control Society, and Special Guest. Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Assistant Director Youth Affairs and Ms. Radhika Sudan, Assistant Director GIPA. The theme was highlighted and significance of World AIDS Day, emphasizing how education and awareness can transform the lives of millions worldwide.

The Guests noted the substantial progress in HIV prevention, treatment, and care, while acknowledging the ongoing challenges in combating the disease, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The speakers reiterated the importance of access to life-saving medications and the urgent need to address stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV.

A range of cultural performances by students brought vibrancy to the event while promoting key messages about HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in the form of rangoli, Skit, Project & debate was organized. Discussions centered on the history, significance, and preventive measures of HIV/AIDS, aiming to educate participants about the disease its impact and the steps needed to combat its spread.

Through educational initiatives i.e community engagement, Acharya Shri Chander College of Nursing continues to play a vital role in spreading awareness and empowering society to address this global public health challenge. Lastly the winners were appreciated & felicitated by the chief guest.
