SAMBA: A review meeting on e-KYC was held today under the chairpersonship of Ms Ayushi Sudan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, with officers of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Samba.
During the meeting, Mr Rahul Gupta, JKAS, Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Samba, briefed the Chair on the category-wise progress of e-KYC across the district.
After a detailed review, the Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to all Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) to ensure 100% completion of e-KYC in all categories within the stipulated timeframe. Emphasis was laid on intensified field-level monitoring, saturation of left-out cases, and prompt redressal of grievances.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the Rightful Targeting exercise and directed the concerned officers to complete it in a time-bound manner, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and strict adherence to prescribed guidelines.
Reiterating the importance of timely completion of e-KYC and Rightful Targeting, the Deputy Commissioner stated that these measures are crucial to ensure that benefits under the Public Distribution System (PDS) reach only genuine and deserving beneficiaries.
