Samba: In a significant stride towards enhancing grassroots governance and ensuring effective public service delivery, the District Administration Samba organized a comprehensive public grievance redressal camp under the Public Outreach programme at Panchayat Nai Kali, Papar Avtara in Block Nud today. District Development Commissioner Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, presided over the camp and accorded a patient hearing to grievances presented by the public through group and individual delegations, with officers and district heads of various line departments in attendance. Delegations from adjoining panchayats and local residents apprised the DDC of several pressing issues, including the need for piped water connections, adequate power supply, maintenance and construction of rural roads, and coverage of eligible families under social security schemes, along with various other local developmental concerns.
Taking cognizance of the demands, the DDC directed the concerned departments to undertake prompt action and ensure time-bound redressal of grievances, instructing all line departments to submit action taken reports to her office on priority. The DDC assured the public that each genuine issue would be addressed within a stipulated timeframe and sensitized them about online services being provided by different departments, urging them to avail the benefits of various government welfare schemes. The programme was attended by Additional Commissioner Revenue Samba, Assistant Commissioner Development Samba, and officers and heads of the concerned line departments, witnessing active participation from local residents and PRI representatives. Such outreach initiatives serve as a vital platform for direct interaction between the administration and the public to resolve issues at the grassroots level, aimed at bringing governance closer to the people and ensuring responsive and accountable service delivery across the district.
