Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, Welcomed by Party Workers and Local Residents on His Return from Srinagar

RAMGARH : Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Ramgarh, was warmly welcomed by party workers and local residents upon his return from Srinagar. The welcoming ceremony saw Dr. Manyal being honored by senior party workers, including Mandal President Ramgarh Shiv Kumar Choudhary and Mandal President Rajpura Kulbhushan Jasrotia.

During his visit, Dr. Manyal discussed the recent events that transpired in the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. He spoke in detail about the contentious resolution passed by the Omar-led Government, which was termed “illegal and unconstitutional” Dr. Manyal emphasized that the resolution had “no Constitutional validity” and “no Constitutional sanctity,” asserting that it was not part of the business of the Assembly. He criticized the Speaker for acting as an “agent” of a political party and highlighted that the content of the resolution reflected the mentality of the newly elected government.

Dr. Manyal also addressed the procedural aspects of the Assembly session, stating that members had come prepared to discuss various issues of people of Constituency, but instead, the government presented a resolution that indirectly pointed to Article 370. He reminded everyone that Article 370 had been abrogated by Parliament and that the Supreme Court had upheld this decision.

In addition, Dr. Manyal shared details of an important meeting held on November 8, 2024, where a delegation of BJP MLAs, led by Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Sharma, met with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Mandeep Kour, the Commissioner Secretary to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Housing & Urban Development Department. The delegation raised concerns over the ongoing strike by sanitation workers in urban local bodies and urged the government to take immediate action to resolve the issue and ensure uninterrupted services for the public.

The delegation also called on the authorities to extend the benefits of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme to local allottees and West Pakistan Refugees, similar to the benefits already provided to the PoJK refugees.
Dr. Manyal reiterated that the BJP will continue to stand up for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that their concerns are addressed and that essential services remain unaffected.
