Expecting Permanent Bail, Says MP B’la Er Rashid

Kupwara : Incumbent Member Parliament North Kashmir Abdul Rashid Sheikh, aka Er Rashid, Wednesday said that he has full faith in the judiciary and was expecting his permanent bail orders.

Er Rashid was talking to the media after taking stock of Kulangam bridge – which developed minor cracks on Tuesday.

“A plea for permanent bail is lined up on October 5, and I have full faith in the judiciary that justice will be delivered – with Almighty’s grace,” said Rashid.

To a question, Er Rashid said, that BJP’s ‘Naya Kashmir’ slogan stands exposed as people were suffering for even basic amenities.

He said that forming a government was not his priority but his top priority has been to fight for the rights of people especially against the August 5, 2019 decision.

“My importance is to address the sentiments and aspirations alongside ensuring development,” Rashid said.

Pertinent to mention here that Er. Rashid, accused of his involvement in an alleged militancy funding case, was granted bail by Delhi’s Patiala House Court upto October 2, 2024, which only yesterday was extended to October 12, 2024.
