GCW Parade Media Interns visit Excelsior House at Janipur

JAMMU: A group of Media Interns of Government College for Women (GCW) Parade who had done Media Internship offered by Institute of Mass Communication and Skill Development (IMCSD) today visited the prestigious leading English Daily of J&K UT “Daily Excelsior” at Janipur under the Summer Internship Programme.
During the visit, the interns were briefed by the representatives of the Media House about the functioning of Print Media, News gathering, Editing, Proof Reading etc. The Interns during their visit to the Editorial Section/News Room informed them about the local and national news compiling.
The Interns also took to the Social Media set up of the leading newspaper to have a full understanding of the overall functioning ranging from news gathering/making to the printing process. The Interns were led by IMCSD Mentor and senior journalist Vicky Verma.
“It really was a wonderful visit to the leading newspaper of J&K UT. We do read this newspaper on a daily basis to get information about the latest happenings but never thought that one day we will get the golden opportunity to visit the Excelsior House at Janipur”, the interns said.
