Militant Killed in Krumhoora Handwara Encounter; Weapons Recovered

Handwara, Kupwara: A militant, identified as Safiullah, a resident of Pakistan, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Handwara. Officials confirmed that he had been active for a long time.

According to SSP Handwara, Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary, the operation was launched early in the morning based on specific intelligence inputs. During the encounter, contact was established with the militant, leading to his neutralization.

The operation was conducted jointly by Handwara Police, 21 Rashtriya Rifles (21RR), and the CRPF.

Security forces recovered one AK-47 rifle, four magazines, a grenade, and other incriminating materials from the site. The area has been secured, and further investigations are underway.
