JAMMU : The MY Bharat Bikers Expedition to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas from Jammu to Kargil was today Flagged off at Balidan Stambh Jammu. 26 Female bikers from Shakti Udghosh Foundation are participating in the Bike Rally to celebrate the valour of Indian Army during Operation Vijay in 1999 at Kargil and the recently launched Op Sindoor in May this year. Among the dignitaries present in the Flag Off Ceremony were Ms Shagun Parihar Hon’ble MLA Kishtwar, Sh Nisar Ahmed State Director MY Bharat J&K and Col M S Maan Dy Cdr.
Nisar Ahmed Butt State Director MY Bharat J&K appreciated the efforts of the Shakti Udghosh Foundation and said that programs like these play a very important role in mobilizing youth in Nation Building Activities. He further assured full support of MY Bharat to the Bikers during the entire route. He further informed that a Mega Padyatra is being planned in Drass Kargil with participation of thousands of Youth which will be held on 26th of July on the eve of Kargil Vijay Diwas. He further highlighted the different activities of MY Bharat which are planned in such a way so as to shape the personality of the youth.
Preeti Choudhary, Group Leader of the Bikers while speaking on the occasion stated that the Bike Rally is a unique form of Respect to the Sacrifices of the Gallant Soldiers during the Op Vijay in Kargil. She further said that MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India has played a very important role in mobilizing the Youth along the entire route.
Nitin Hangloo DYO MY Bharat Jammu speaking on the sidelines of the event said that the event is an ode to the sacrifices of our valiant soldiers. He further highlighted the importance of youth participation in these programs which are a unique way of engaging youth in Nation Building. He further highlighted the activities conducted by MY Bharat for enhancing leader qualities of the youth.
On the occasion, a painting competition was also organised in which numerous MY Bharat Volunteers participated depicting the spirit of Patriotism on the canvas. The Indian Army played a very important role in organising the event by providing logistical assistance . The program was successfully managed by the volunteers of MY Bharat Jammu under the supervision of Anmol APA.
