JAMMU : The Jackson Cultural Institute of Society will host the National “Aashirwad Golden Award” Ceremony on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra, one of India’s most prominent spiritual destinations.
The national-level ceremony aims to recognise and honour individuals from across the country for their exceptional contributions in the fields of art, culture, dance, and social service, while promoting cultural unity and creative excellence.
The event is being organised under the leadership of Shri J. R. Sharma (Jackson), President of the Jackson Cultural Institute of Society, who is widely acknowledged as the first international choreographer and performer from Jammu and Kashmir. Over the years, Sharma has played a key role in taking the cultural identity of the region to national and international platforms.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the organisers stated that the Aashirwad Golden Award symbolises appreciation, encouragement, and respect for individuals who have made meaningful contributions to society through creativity and service.
Ms. Poonam Rani, Cashier, Jackson Cultural Institute of Society, is overseeing the financial and administrative coordination of the event.
Artists, cultural ambassadors, and dignitaries from various states are expected to attend, making the ceremony a significant cultural gathering with nationwide participation.
The organisers said that holding the event in Katra reflects their vision of integrating spiritual values with cultural growth, further strengthening Jammu and Kashmir’s position on India’s cultural map.
