JAMMU : Raising serious alarm over the growing social evils plaguing society, Senior BJP Leader and MLA Sham Lal Sharma called for immediate and proactive intervention by the J&K Government, Police, and Civil Administration to tackle the alarming rise in bovine smuggling, the worsening drug menace among youth, and the spread of unsocial and delinquent behavior in the region.
Addressing a Public Darbar held at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Sham Lal Sharma expressed concern over the deteriorating moral and social fabric of society, especially among the younger generation. “We are witnessing an unfortunate rise in drug abuse, criminal tendencies, and other unsocial activities among the youth. This not only endangers their future but also poses a threat to peace, law and order in our society,” Sharma said. He emphasized the urgent need for coordinated efforts between law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, community leaders, and civil society to curb these evils.
