Samba, 21 January: As part of the nationwide celebrations commemorating 150 years of “Vande Mataram”, a grand rally was organized today in Samba on the second day of Phase–II of the Government of India initiative.
The rally was flagged off by the District Magistrate, Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, from the Rani Suchet Singh Stadium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various government and private schools across District Samba, who marched with patriotic fervour and discipline.
The rally culminated at the historic Samba Fort, symbolizing the region’s rich cultural and historical legacy. The students displayed banners and raised slogans reflecting national unity, patriotism, and respect for the motherland.
Senior officers from the district administration were present on the occasion to encourage and support the participants. Prominent among them was Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Mr. Jagdish Singh, along with other concerned district and departmental officers.
The event was organized smoothly under the supervision of the district administration, with all necessary arrangements and security measures in place. The rally aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and national pride among the younger generation while honoring the legacy and spirit of Vande Mataram.
