JAMMU : Adv. Abheet Sangotra, Youth Advisory Council Member, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India met His Excellency, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir at Lok Bhawan, Jammu, following the successful completion of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026, held in New Delhi from January 9 to 12.
The Jammu & Kashmir moderation round of VBYLD 2026 was led by Adv. Abheet Sangotra and managed by the Department of Youth Services & Sports. The dialogue functioned as a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, aimed at institutionalising youth participation in governance, policy formulation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive development under the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
During the moderation round, 29 students were shortlisted, out of which Kumkum Sharma and Suvidha Sambyal presented their policy presentations before the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who also held one-on-one interactions with the selected candidates, while two other students presented before Union Cabinet Ministers, highlighting the growing institutional role of youth in national policy discourse
