JAMMU : Senior BJP leader and MLA from Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, along with Surinder Bhagat, BJP MLA from Marh constituency, held a Public Darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to listen to the concerns of the public and address their grievances.
The deputations poured in from various localities of Jammu city as well as surrounding areas.
People representing Mohalla welfare associations, market bodies, youth groups, senior citizens, and farmers highlighted a wide range of civic, developmental, and welfare issues.
Common issues raised included the irregular water supply, damaged inner roads, drainage problems in low-lying areas, unscheduled power cuts. Some deputations also drew attention to long-pending revenue matters, and delay in land compensation cases.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi stressed that the Modi government prioritizes transparency and accountability in the government and administrative working to achieve the public welfare, using various channels, and policies. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to people-centric governance. He also stressed the utility of Public Darbars as vital tools for participatory democracy, and said that the BJP has opened this gate to ensure that the public voice is heard and their issues are solved in a time-bound manner by ensuring their reach to the concerned authorities.
Surinder Bhagat emphasized the importance of grassroots-level engagement. He said that the issues raised in the Public Darbar reflect genuine concerns of people. He reaffirmed that all the issues presented will be followed by the BJP.
Both leaders immediately communicated the presented issues to the concerned department officials while pressing for the early resolution of those issues.
