Sopore : Marking the nationwide celebration of International Yoga Day 2025, the 92 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Sopore organized a dedicated yoga session at its headquarters under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event saw active and spirited participation from officers and personnel across all ranks. Guided by trained yoga instructors, the participants engaged in a variety of yoga asanas, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques designed to promote physical flexibility, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant of the 92 Battalion highlighted the crucial role of yoga in the lives of security personnel, especially in conflict-sensitive regions like North Kashmir. “Yoga is not merely a physical exercise — it is a comprehensive discipline that strengthens mental resilience, enhances operational readiness, and fosters inner stability. In high-stress environments, it serves as a vital tool for well-being and focus,” he said.
The session underscored how yoga has become an integral part of the battalion’s daily routine, contributing significantly to the health, morale, and performance of the force. The observance also reflected the CRPF’s commitment to the holistic well-being of its personnel and its broader vision of promoting peace and harmony.
The 92 Battalion CRPF continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining internal security in the Kashmir Valley. Initiatives like these highlight the force’s balanced approach to physical fitness, mental wellness, and professional excellence.
