Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, Appreciates Amit Choudhary EO Ramgarh for Registering ELP in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh

RAMGARH: Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister of Health and Medical Education J&K, extended his appreciation to Amit Choudhary, Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Ramgarh, for being the first person in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh to successfully register for the Experiential Learning Program (ELP) in Urban Local Bodies. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal acknowledged Choudhary’s efforts in encouraging the youth of Jammu to participate in this valuable initiative aimed at providing hands-on learning experiences.

In his response, Amit Choudhary thanked Dr. Manyal for the recognition and also highlighted the role of the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Jammu, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and the Nations Development Association (NDA) in facilitating the registration process for the ELP.

The Experiential Learning Program (ELP), hosted on the MYBharat platform, offers diverse opportunities for youth to gain practical experience in various fields, including:

Department of Posts (DoP): A 4-week program offering insights into postal services and citizen-centric initiatives.Hospital ELP: Voluntary activities under hospital authorities’ supervision, contributing to healthcare.Working in Local Businesses: Gaining experience in small and medium local businesses.Working in Local Self-Government: Learning and contributing to local governance activities.Working in Government Bodies: Exposure to functioning and operations of governmental organizations.Helping Others: Opportunities to assist in community services and voluntary programs.

The ELP is open to: Individuals under the age of 29 who are meeting specific eligibility criteria.

Upon completion, participants receive a digital certificate with star ratings based on their performance, marking their growth and commitment during the program.

The MYBharat initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, aims to empower India’s youth by providing them with real-world learning experiences that complement their academic knowledge.

Present at the occasion were various distinguished officials, including the District Officer from Samba.
