JAMMU : The Shri Ram Universal School celebrated its annual Sports Day, “Shri Khel – 2025”, today with great enthusiasm and spirited participation from students, teachers, and parents.
The event opened with a melodious orchestra performance, followed by a welcome speech by Ms. Sonika Mahajan, Principal TSUSJ. Guests were felicitated with potted plants, highlighting the school’s commitment to sustainability. The Sports Meet was officially declared open by Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Sports, Cluster University, through a symbolic pigeon-flying ceremony, after which the Sports Captain lit the torch.

A lively welcome dance (NK) set the tone for the celebration. Students showcased their skills in events such as Yoga (Form-2), Balancing Race, Hula Hoop Run, Relay Race, Hurdle Race, Passing Through the Ring, Gymnastics & Martial Arts, and more. Lower primary students charmed the audience with the Dumbbell Dance, while parents energised the field with a Fitness Challenge and an exciting Tug of War.
The event was also graced by the Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, and Director, Ms. Rajni Gupta, whose presence added immense motivation and encouragement for the entire school community.

The closing ceremony was graced by Ms. Himani Jerath, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba, as the Chief Guest, and Mr Sushil Singh Charak, Founder Cum Chief Functionary, Nations Development Association (NDA) who joined the school community for the spirited Zumba finale.
A warm vote of thanks was extended by Ms. Shivani Vaid, Headmistress TSUSJ, who appreciated the efforts of teachers, parents, and students. The event concluded with the national anthem, evoking pride and unity.
