SAMBA : Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 9.72 grams of heroin-like substance (chitta) from their possession.
A team of Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking naka at Tarapur road Gadwal Vijaypur, intercepted a Swift car bearing registration No. JK02DQ-6509 which was coming from Rakh Barotian side. During checking, approximately 9.72 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of two persons travelling in the said car.
The drug peddlers identified as Adil Hussain S/o Mir Hussain R/o Gorda tehsil Bhalwal district Jammu and Deepak Sharma S/o Ganesh Dass R/o Ambran tehsil Akhnoor district Jammu have been arrested and contraband item has been seized. The Swift car involved in the commission of crime has also been seized in the instant case.
A case FIR No. 06/2026 u/s 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
