MLA Jasrotia honours Shaheed Mangal Singh, reaffirms nation’s debt to its Heroes

Kathua : BJP MLA Jasrota, Rajiv Jasrotia, paid rich tributes to Shaheed Mangal Singh in a solemn and impressive Shardanjali Samaroh held at Village Ladoli, Panchayat Magloor East. Shaheed Mangal Singh, who had joined the Indian Army in 2000 with the JAK Rifles, laid down his life at the tender age of 22 in 2002 while serving the nation, leaving behind a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Jasrotia highlighted the profound impact of martyrdom on the youth of the area and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at large. He emphasized that the sacrifice of soldiers like Shaheed Mangal Singh instills a deep sense of national pride and responsibility among young people, motivating them to uphold the values of selflessness, discipline, and service to the country. Jasrotia stated that such acts of bravery serve as a guiding light, inspiring generations to contribute positively to society and to protect the unity and integrity of the nation.

Jasrotia also underlined the role of martyrdom in strengthening the spirit of the youth in J&K UT, especially in fostering patriotism, resilience, and civic consciousness. He remarked that remembering and honouring our martyrs not only preserves their legacy but also encourages young citizens to actively participate in nation-building and community development. He called upon families, schools, and local institutions to share the stories of heroes like Shaheed Mangal Singh to inspire courage and determination among students and youth in the region.

The MLA further highlighted the personal sacrifices made by the families of martyrs and emphasized the responsibility of society to support them. He assured that the government and party leadership remain committed to extending all possible assistance to the families of fallen heroes and promoting initiatives that recognize their invaluable contributions. Jasrotia also reiterated that such commemorative events play a critical role in keeping the spirit of nationalism alive in the hearts of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Jasrotia said, “The nation will always be indebted to martyrs like Shaheed Mangal Singh, whose supreme sacrifice ensures our safety, sovereignty, and unity. Their courage inspires every citizen, especially the youth, to embrace values of selflessness, discipline, and love for the country.”He highlighted the impact of martyrdom on the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, stating that the bravery and dedication of soldiers like Shaheed Mangal Singh instill a strong sense of patriotism and civic responsibility. “Remembering our martyrs is not only a tribute to their sacrifice but also a lesson for young people to uphold the ideals of service, resilience, and commitment to the nation,” he added.Jasrotia also acknowledged the sacrifices of the families of martyrs and stressed the importance of societal support and recognition.

The Shardanjali Samaroh witnessed participation from local residents, community leaders, and the martyr’s family members, who offered prayers and floral tributes. MLA Jasrotia’s address resonated with the audience, reaffirming that the courage and sacrifice of martyrs remain a guiding light and a source of inspiration for the youth and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

The Shardanjali Samaroh was attended by local residents, community leaders, and family members of the martyr, who collectively paid homage to Shaheed Mangal Singh. The event included floral tributes, prayers, and a solemn remembrance ceremony, reflecting the deep respect and gratitude of the community.
