RAMGARH : A padyatra was organized under the banner of “My Bharat, My Responsibility” by the Nations Development Association (NDA) in collaboration with MY Bharat Jammu, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, to mark Shaheed Diwas (Martyrs’ Day) and pay homage to the supreme sacrifice of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru.
The padyatra commenced from National Public School, Abtal, a village located near the Indo-Pak International Border, and concluded at the historic Bamuchak Temple, Abtal. The initiative, one of the first of its kind in a border area, aimed at instilling patriotism, awareness, and a sense of national responsibility among the youth.
Students and local residents participated with great enthusiasm, raising patriotic slogans such as “Veer Jawan Amar Rahe,” “Bhagat Singh Zindabad,” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” along with singing patriotic songs throughout the march. Refreshments were distributed among the participants, especially children.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister graced the occasion and actively participated in the padyatra. While addressing the gathering, he paid rich tributes to the martyrs and stated that their unparalleled sacrifice continues to inspire generations. He emphasized the importance of patriotism, unity, and dedication towards the nation, urging the youth to follow the ideals of the great freedom fighters.
He further appreciated the initiative of organizing such a meaningful program in a border village and highlighted that such activities play a crucial role in strengthening national spirit among the youth. He also assured his support for similar initiatives in the future.
The event was organized under the leadership of Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary, Nations Development Association (NDA), a NITI Aayog-registered organization affiliated with MY Bharat, with a growing presence at national and international levels.
Prominent among those present were Devinder Bhatti, Principal, National Public School, Abtal, Harvind Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Sakshi Verma and other respected members of the community.
