JAMMU : The Law School, University of Jammu, today hosted a prestigious felicitation ceremony for their alumni who recently got selected as coveted judicial officers. The event celebrated the achievements of Anshu Lal Sharma, Muskan Puri, Deeksha, Kritika Jain, Shazia Manzoor, Sahiba Banotra, Riju Gupta, and Aman Kumar, recognizing their successful transition from alumni to judicial officers.
The ceremony featured an interactive session where the newly appointed judges, joined by distinguished alumni guests, shared their professional journeys, offering invaluable insights and inspiration to current students. The gathering was presided over by Raj Kamal Arya, AFHQCS, Deputy Registrar, Armed Forces Tribunal and noted alumni of the Law School. He graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delievered motivational address wherein he underscored the enduring values of consistency, conviction, and dedication as cornerstones of a successful legal career. He also paid a heartfelt tribute to the role of educators, reflecting on how the guidance of his own teachers had been phenomenal in shaping his path to success.
Earlier in the proceedings, Advocate Deepak Gupta, special guest on the occasion, encouraged the students to draw inspiration from the achievements of their predecessors and to steadfastly follow the path forged by the department distinguished alumni.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Shubha Vats, Convener of the Alumni Committee, under the able guidance of Prof. Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, University of Jammu.
“This ceremony is a testament to the strong foundation laid at this institution,” said Prof. Rohmetra. “We take immense pride in our alumni who continue to uphold the highest standards of the judiciary, and we are grateful to our Chief Guest and special guest for reinforcing the values that define the legal profession.”
The event concluded on a positive note with a vote of gratitude delivered by Dr. Mrinalini Atrey, who extended sincere thanks to the dignitaries, faculty members, and student volunteers for making the interaction a meaningful and inspiring experience for the budding lawyers of the Law School.
