SAMBA May 2026 : The 7th District Samba Pencak Silat Championship 2026, organized by Pencak Silat Association Samba in collaboration with Nations Development Association and affiliated with MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, will be held on 28 May 2026 at Indoor Stadium Samba.
The championship will include Junior and Senior categories with participation of more than 500 students from various schools and clubs across the district. The event aims to promote sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, and martial arts culture among the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
Sushil Singh Charak Chief Functionary, Nations development Association (NDA) said that the championship has also been listed on the MY Bharat Portal, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. He informed that interested participants can register themselves through the official MY Bharat Portal.
Satish Sharma President, Pencak Silat Association Samba stated that the championship will provide a strong platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and competitive spirit.
Prakshi Sharma General Secretary, Pencak Silat Association Samba and Joint Secretary Pencak Silat Association J&K said that the event will strengthen martial arts culture and encourage maximum youth participation in sports activities.
Bhupinder Singh, Sports Incharge Samba, NDA and Program Coordinator, 7th District Samba Pencak Silat Championship 2026 informed that all necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the championship are being finalized by the organizing team.
