SRINAGAR : Reinforcing its commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Punjab, in collaboration with the Nations Development Association (NDA), Cluster University Srinagar, MY Bharat J&K (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India), NIELIT Srinagar, and Himalayan Club Trust, will organise the Mega Job Fair Kashmir 2026 on 28 July 2026 at Amar Singh College, Srinagar, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The prestigious employment initiative will be graced by Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, as the Chief Guest.
Announcing the event, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that the university has always believed in empowering youth through quality education, skill development, and employment generation. He stated that Mega Job Fair Kashmir 2026 reflects the university’s vision of connecting talented young professionals with leading employers while contributing to the socio-economic development of Jammu & Kashmir.
Mr. Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary, Nations Development Association (NDA), described the event as one of the largest employment initiatives for the youth of Kashmir. He appealed to young job seekers across the Valley to participate enthusiastically, showcase their talent and skills, and take advantage of the employment opportunities being offered by leading companies on a single platform. He added that the initiative is aimed at empowering youth and strengthening their role in nation-building.
Shri Nitin Hangloo, State Director, MY Bharat (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India), Jammu & Kashmir, said that MY Bharat remains committed to engaging youth through meaningful opportunities that promote employability, skill development, and active participation in nation-building. He noted that collaborative initiatives such as the Mega Job Fair play a vital role in addressing unemployment by connecting talented youth with industry.
Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that the university continues to strengthen industry-academia collaboration by creating platforms where students and job seekers can directly interact with reputed organisations.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University, said the Mega Job Fair marks another milestone in the university’s mission to bridge the gap between education and employment while fostering inclusive growth and youth empowerment.
Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, informed that the event will witness participation from numerous reputed companies across diverse sectors, offering employment opportunities to graduates, postgraduates, diploma holders, ITI candidates, and skilled professionals.
Mrs. Pooja Kathuria, Placement Head and Training & Skill Development Officer, Desh Bhagat University, said the event is being organised with the active support of government organisations, educational institutions, NGOs, and private sector partners, ensuring a strong employment platform for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
The organisers stated that the Mega Job Fair aims to facilitate direct interaction between recruiters and job seekers, conduct on-the-spot interviews, promote skill-based employment, and strengthen the employability ecosystem in the region.
For wider public outreach and detailed information regarding the Mega Job Fair Kashmir 2026, a press conference will be held on 21 July 2026 at Cluster University Srinagar. Representatives of the organising institutions, partner organisations, media fraternity, and other stakeholders will be present to share comprehensive details about the event, participating companies, registration process, and employment opportunities available for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir.
