SAMBA : National Technology Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at The Shri Ram Universal School, Jakh District Samba. The programme was organized by MY Bharat Jammu in collaboration with Nations Development Association (NDA) with active participation of students, faculty members, youth volunteers, and social workers. The event was conducted under the guidance of Sh. Nitin Hangloo, State Director, MY Bharat J&K, Sh. Vivek Kumar, District Youth Officer (DYO), MY Bharat Jammu, and Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary, Nations Development Association (NDA).
The programme aimed to promote innovation, digital awareness, scientific thinking, environmental sustainability, and responsible use of technology among youth. Various activities including digital literacy campaigns, quiz competitions, awareness sessions, workshops, tree plantation drives, and cleanliness and e-waste awareness programmes were conducted during the celebration. Students enthusiastically participated in all activities and learned about the importance of technology in education, environmental protection, and nation-building.
Principal Sonika Mahajan appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of such programmes in encouraging scientific learning, digital empowerment, and responsible citizenship among students. Headmaster Shivi Vaid Sharma also addressed the gathering and stressed the important role of youth in adopting technology for educational and social progress.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Bhupinder Singh, Sports Incharge Samba, NDA, along with Manpreet Kour, who ensured the smooth conduct of all activities. The event concluded with enthusiastic participation from students and a collective pledge for a cleaner, greener, and digitally empowered India.
